Google Search Engine Turns Black to Save Power!

Hi!,

Google.com, the most popularly used search engine is working on a cause of saving electrical energy and has launched www.blackle.com – the black interface of its search engine.

The google – blackle.com search engine screen is designed to save electrical power as the monitor showing black color requires less power as compared to the one showing white and bright version of www.google.com.

Google.com – The usual bright version of google search engine

So use www.blackle.com and make it your home page. This will definitely save you some money on your electricity bills.

Note – If you want to use google advanced search engine features like search – on a specific domain, filetype (.pdf, .doc etc.) or display web pages having content in a particular language then you can enter the command directly and it will work. At www.blackle.com, you will not get the “Advanced Search” option as available at www.google.com.

An example of an advanced search command which searches for .pdf files in domain – www.google.com using www.blackle.com is – site:www.google.com filetype:pdf

Switching from the white brighter version of google search (www.google.com) to the duller black search version (www.blackle.com) might initially prove little difficult but I am sure that you will do it to contribute to your share in global electrical power savings and save your money too.

Happy Blackish Google Searching !

Rajesh
